What we repair
Roof leaks are almost never where the water shows up inside. The entry point is often well away from the stain on your ceiling, and finding it is most of the work.
Active leaks
We find the actual entry point before we repair anything. If water is coming in right now, call, the emergency line takes priority and the first job is always stopping the water.
Wind damage
The valley funnels wind, and the damage is often invisible from the ground. A gust event lifts and creases shingle tabs across a whole slope without tearing a single one off. The roof looks fine. Then the creases let water in eighteen months later, long after the storm that caused it is out of your insurance window.
Flashing failures
Flashing is the metal that seals the joints where a roof meets a wall, a chimney, a skylight, or a valley. It is where most leaks actually begin, and it is the detail cheap roofing crews rush. Repairing flashing properly often means pulling shingles back to get to it, which is why it gets patched with sealant instead. Sealant is not a repair.
Pipe boots and penetrations
The seals around plumbing vents break down in Idaho sun over time. It is one of the more common leak sources, and one of the cheaper things to fix before it damages a ceiling.
Ice dam damage
More common up in McCall and Donnelly, but the Treasure Valley gets it too in a hard winter. Meltwater refreezes at the cold eave, backs up under the shingle courses, and finds its way inside. Repairing the damage matters, but so does addressing the attic ventilation and insulation that caused it, otherwise it happens again next winter.
Missing, cracked, and curling shingles
Straightforward if the surrounding roof is sound, and we will tell you whether matching shingles are available for your roof's age and color. Sometimes they are not, and that changes the conversation.

We will tell you a repair is not the right call when:
- The damage is spread across multiple slopes rather than isolated
- The roof is within a couple of years of the end of its rated life
- The decking underneath has been compromised over a wide area
- You have already paid for the same repair more than once
- Matching material for a visible slope no longer exists
In those cases you get the photos and the reasoning, not just the recommendation.

Common questions
It depends entirely on what is wrong and how accessible it is. A cracked pipe boot is a small job. Rebuilding a valley or re-flashing a chimney is a bigger one. What we commit to is written pricing before any work starts, so there is no surprise number at the end.
A properly executed repair should not. Improper repairs absolutely can, which is one reason sealant-over-everything patch jobs cause problems later. If your roof is under an active manufacturer warranty, tell us and we will work within its requirements.
Often, but not always. Shingle lines get discontinued and colors weather over time, so an exact match on a ten-year-old roof is not guaranteed. We will tell you up front what the repair will look like rather than letting you discover it afterward.
Yes. Repairs carry a workmanship warranty covering the work we performed. The specific term is stated on your estimate before you approve it.
Emergencies jump to the front of the line. Standard repair inspections are typically scheduled within 24 hours of your call. After a major storm event the whole valley calls at once, and we will give you a real timeframe rather than an optimistic one.
